While Lifestyle Medicine is relatively new to Ireland, it’s an established medical specialty elsewhere and has decades of research.

That means that there have been a multiple trials over the years, including some important randomized controlled trials that have been shown that lifestyle medicine interventions can make positive, statistically significant difference in important outcomes. Lifestyle medicine is supported by data, not just based on beliefs or theories or ideas. It has been repeatedly tested and is more effective than standard care and has worked when tried in different healthcare settings.
