Walk-with-a-Doc
Dr. Kate McCann leads Ireland’s only current chapter of Walk with A Doc.

“Walk with a Doc” was started in 2005 by Dr. David Sabgir, a cardiologist in Ohio, USA, Frustrated in the clinical setting, Dr. Sabgir invited his patients to go for a walk with him in a local park on a spring Saturday morning. To his surprise, over 100 people showed up, energized and ready to move. There are now more than 500 chapters around the globe where patients meet up to have short talk on health promotion and then take a walk with a doc. “Walk with a Doc” is free of charge. Participants are only asked to sign a liability waiver on the day. If you have any questions about your fitness to participate, you will need to check with your own GP ahead of participating. We recommend wearing appropriate footwear, dress for the weather, and bring water.
Dates, times, and locations for upcoming walk will be posted on social media.
