Can you spot clickbait? (Hint: it’s probably judging your parenting)

Click bait. I really hate this one attached in particular. You are a mammy in a pandemic. You already feel bad when you are just human and lose it with your child. Now they want you to feel guilty that you are “shrinking their brains”??!!

Certain sites are just awful for generating anything that will scare you into clicking on their site (thereby generating clicks and profits from ads).

This popular mammy site is among the worst for taking a little bit of science, a whole lot of panic, and turning it into click bait.

Popular clickbait formula is to take an everyday common household activity or product and “reveal” how it is secretly harming you or your children. And it works.

Do carefully consider how seriously you take parenting advice from clickbait ads.

You’re doing fine. Promise
