Health advice in only 48 words.

On 1 January 2020, in the weeks before the pandemic, I was inspired by a great piece in the NY Times where a doctor kept his health advice to only 48 words.

I challenged myself to beat it, so I did it in 42 words:

  • Don’t smoke or vape.
  • Drink moderately.
  • Think critically.
  • Get active – just move!
  • Cook from whole ingredients.
  • Minimize ultraprocessed foods and restaurant meals
  • Relationships are key: friends, family, children. Get help if you need it.
  • Reduce screen time.
  • Helmets.
  • Sunscreen.
  • Seatbelts.
  • Vaccines.
