Not all Silent Nights are Peaceful

While this time of year is an emphasis on peace and joy, that is not always the case. While Christmas is the happiest time of the year for many, but it is actually the worst time for many others.

It’s okay if you’re not okay. Help is still here

If you know someone you think could use support, consider picking up the phone. If you are lucky enough to have good mental health, good supports, financial stability during this time, you could also consider donating to any of those charities on the list above to keep resources and phone supports available to those who most need them.

• Your GP, public health nurse, or midwife is always a good place to start as well. Many private therapists and counsellors are still available this week; almost all offer virtual sessions and support options.
