The HPRA has released an advisory. It raises safety concerns about a tanning supplement “Melanotan” that is being sold to be injected, inhaled, or put in the nose.

Why?

HPRA is the authority in Ireland that checks that medications are 1) safe 2) come from safe sources 3) due what they say they do 4) are not contaminated.

They want the public to know that:

1) it is not legal to sell an unapproved medication to inject or inhale (even if you call it cosmetic”)

2) there are safety concerns about these products and where they come from

Go to HPRA website for more information or to report concerns.

My thoughts? #ownyourtone You’re beautiful already – and it is never worth risking your health for body image.
