It’s just chocolate

“I was going to bring ye chocolate but I thought that would be like bringing cocaine into a garda station.”

The older patient handed me an Easter Mass Card in clinic this week.

It’s the thought that counts so I’d be equally touched by either.

But it was a good opportunity to talk about having a healthy relationship with treats and chocolate.

A piece of chocolate doesn’t need to be “earned”. It’s not a “sin”. Just everything in moderation – and if we do have a treat – we move on, no guilt.
