Let’s talk Brain Health this World Brain Day!

We have growing evidence that looking after our brain health can make a difference.

Here are 8 ways you can look after your brain health:

1. Get enough sleep.  Seriously. Your brain can’t work well without it.

2. 2 words: Mediterranean Diet

3. Just Move! Physical activity improves cognition.

4. Reduce the Risk: Limit alcohol.  Stop smoking/vaping. Skip other substances. (you already knew this)

5. Reduce stress – yoga, meditation, therapy, whatever works.

6. Be Social, Call a friend: Loneliness is bad for our brain health.

7. Protect it: Wear a helmet. Wear a seatbelt. And when it comes to head injuries – if it doubt, sit them out and always follow return to play guidelines.

8. Bonus Round – emerging evidence on improving “brain fog.” If you suffer from brain fog, there are ongoing studies using Brain HQ training to see if it helps improve symptoms of “brain fog” in long Covid. Even if you aren’t part of clinical studies, did you know that you can try it yourself? You can sign up and access some of their training exercises for free.
